BOLTON West MP Julie Hilling swapped the raucous noise of the House of Commons for a more melodic experience on a visit to BBC Radio stations.
Ms Hilling met with Radio 1 station bosses to discuss potential ways to get young people interested in politics as well as discussing ways to help people get exposure for their music.
She also visited Radio 6 music, Radio 1Xtra and Radio Two, where she met presenters Jeremy Vine and Steve Wright.
Speaking after the visit, Ms Hilling said: “It was great to see the different stations and hear about the potential work we can do to both help get young people voting and also offer opportunities for musical people to get their stuff heard, it was also really interesting to hear some live music.”
She added: “I wasn’t tempted to get involved in the performances, I am definitely much better at listening than doing when it comes to music.”
