Inquest opens into death of Delroy Finney after Astley Bridge bus tragedy

AN inquest has been opened into the death of a man who died after apparently being dragged under a bus.

Delroy Finney, aged 46, died after the incident involving an Arriva 534 bus. He is believed to have tripped after getting off the bus.

The incident happened on Friday, May 9. Mr Finney, of Oldhams Terrace, Astley Bridge, was described by neighbours as being “quiet and no trouble”.

The crash scene was closed off for six hours.

An inquest was opened and adjourned at Bolton Coroners Court on Thursday.

So presumably you witnessed the whole thing did you? If not then how can you possibly blame the bus driver or anyone else. As for people being responsible for their own actions that could work for both sides of this terrible incident. Just saying we shouldn't jump to conclusions.
