BLACKROD Church School provided a warm welcome to a senior figure from the Methodist Church.
Dr Daleep Mukarji, vice-president of the Methodist Conference 2013/14 visited the village school as part of a visit to the district.
He spent time in class, had a tour and received a piece of artwork created by the children illustrating their love for the school as a lasting reminder of his visit.
Headteacher James Royal said: “He spent quite a bit of time with us, sitting in on an RE lesson and having a tour of the school.
“It was lovely to have him at the school.”
