YOUNG designers aspiring to enter the glamorous world of fashion will be staging their first catwalk show.

Bolton College’s fashion show takes place on Monday and is billed as the highlight of the creative calendar at Bolton College.

Lecturer Tom Evans said: “Everyone is excited and nervous as it is their first professional exhibition.

“The standard of work by students is very high. This year the students have been very keen — there is some real talent.”

Among those showing off their creations will be Jordan Duberry, aged 18, from Bolton, whose designs have been inspired by Vivienne Westwood.

He said: “I have enjoyed taking part in this project because it has enabled me to explore with different techniques and processes, giving me experience in improving my future creations.”
