BOLTON MP David Crausby dropped by at a Bolton community centre as hundreds of Hindus came together to hear tales about a hero poet.
Council leader Cllr Cliff Morris also made an appearance with fellow councillor Linda Thomas to hear the religious readings.
The week-long event told the life story of poet-saint Shree Narasimha Metha, a 15th Century Hindu poet-saint.
The centre’s secretary, Bhagvati Parmar, said that the event had been a great success.
She said: “It was nice to hear David talking about Bolton as a one-community family. Our doors are open to anybody, not just Hindus."
