A WOMAN will cycle more than 600 miles in her mission to complete her 50th birthday bucket list.
Helen Hulne grew up in Great Lever but has lived in Devon for more than 20 years.
This weekend the 49-year-old will start the long journey from Lands End to John O’Groats to boost funds for cancer care.
Ms Hulne says the bike ride is a double celebration as her sister, Cath Hulne, has been given the all-clear from ovarian cancer.
Ms Hulne, who works with young offenders, said: “I turn 50 this year and I wanted to do something special to mark it.
“Also my sister has been given the all-clear, which is fantastic for her and my family.
“You really have to make the most of everything because you never know what’s round the corner.”
The tour group is scheduled to pass through Bolton on Saturday, August 2 and will stop off at the Black Dog in Belmont.
Ms Hulne’s mother and sister still live in Bolton.
