Band name: Treacherous Dogs

Members: Lewis Parker, from Bolton, Dean Meekings, from London, and Liam Sinnott, from Northampton.

When and where did you start performing? We formed in late 2012 but have been playing together in other projects for about five years.

What is your sound and who are your influences? Our sound has been described as an eclectic mix of 70s garage rock infused with Northern Soul beats and punk/surf rock inspired guitars. Our influences range from The Strokes, New Order, Dick Dale, The Smiths, Arctic Monkeys and Northern Soul acts.

What is the biggest gig you have played to date? We recently headlined the O2 Academy 2 in Islington, London.

If you are not already, is it your ambition to become professional? That is certainly the case. We have spent the last year writing and honing our sound so we are now in the position where we want to start growing our 'team'.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years? We'd like to be at least four to five albums in by that time and have a loyal fanbase following us around wherever we land. To say that we are ambitious would be an understatement but I think we'd be very happy as long as we can keep playing as a career.

Is there anything unusual or interesting about the act/ band? We had success as our previous incarnation The Jude, gaining Radio 1, BBC 6 Introducing and XFM playlisting. We also managed to scrape into the Top 10 of the iTunes indie chart. Lewis’ brother Tom was in The Wanted.

Upcoming gigs?
August 9 at Osfest, Shropshire and August 16 at Homegrown Festival, Oxfordshire.
