HORWICH Royal British Legion have thanked everyone involved in the town’s centenary commemorations.
A special service was held in Lever Park Avenue on Sunday when the names of 420 men who died in World War One were read out. A cross was planted for every name that was read.
A poppy party later raised £114 for the 2014 town poppy appeal.
Secretary Sue Denton said: “We would like to thank all those who made our ceremony special.”
