HORWICH Royal British Legion have thanked everyone involved in the town’s centenary commemorations.

A special service was held in Lever Park Avenue on Sunday when the names of 420 men who died in World War One were read out. A cross was planted for every name that was read.

Secretary Sue Denton said: “We would like to thank all those who made our ceremony special.”
