POLICE who stopped a motorist for not wearing a seat belt found the driver had 12 bags of cannabis in the car, a court heard.
Bolton magistrates were told how Hasan Greaves admitted the drugs were his and that he had bought them for £150 a short time before he was stopped in Halliwell Road at 12.30pm on July 22.
Greaves, aged 25, of Haydock Street, Halliwell, pleaded guilty to possessing cannabis.
Magistrates sentenced him to a conditional discharge for two years and ordered him to pay £85 prosecution costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
