A HEATON homeowner’s hopes to raise the roof of his bungalow have been knocked back by Bolton Council.
Edwin Gradwell sought planning permission so that builders could start work on a second-storey roof extension at the back of his home in Buckingham Avenue.
But council officers said his plans were not in keeping with the local area and rejected the application.
