HAVING a transplant should be no barrier to sporting success, according to the chair of the British Transplant Games.
Cllr Anthony Connell said an important message of the games was that it shows patients can still get involved in sport post-op.
He said: “It has been great to greet all these people from around Britain taking part in the event. A transplant does not mean you cannot get involved in sport. The town has a reputation for being friendly and I hope the athletes enjoy their time here.”
