ONE of the first broadcasters to break the news of Dougie Freedman’s demise was the announcer at Asda Middlebrook.
Radio presenter and Whites fan Darryl Morris told his followers on Twitter about the Asda announcement after receiving a text from his mum.
The text, which he posted online, said: “Breaking news over Asda public address system.
"Dougie Freedman has resigned. Clearly the announcer couldn’t wait to tell everyone. I have no idea who Dougie Freedman is but it sounded very immportant.”
Mr Morris added: “Superb text from my mum who is out shopping in my native Bolton.”
