1. Watch the sky light up and huddle around a bonfire in Smithills. Hollywood Road Sports and Social Club will hold its firework display and barbecue from 7pm on Saturday.
2. Pay tribute to those who paid the ultimate price in conflict at Bolton’s annual Concert of Remembrance on Saturday evening. The event, featuring students from Dawson's Academy of Dance & Stage (pictured below) will start at 7pm in the Albert Halls.
3. Help raise money for Children in Need while enjoying a night of music with bands and singers. Bolton Rocks 2014, at The Millstone Pub, will feature Sara Crompton, Parallel Oreos (pictured below), The Torn Prince, Fight The Silence and Peur.
4. Have a chuckle with funnyman Dave Spikey who is bringing his latest show Punchlines to his home town. The former Phoenix Nights star will be at the Octagon at 7.30pm on Saturday.
5. Watch a great show about the man responsible for creating the Greatest Show on Earth. All-round entertainer Brian Conley is starring as legendary showman P.T. Barnum in dazzling musical Barnum at Manchester’s Palace Theatre.
