BREIGHTMET residents are being given the chance to showcase their artistic talents at the I Heart Handmade Craft Fair and Open Day.

Community groups and individual sellers will set up stalls at Breightmet Community Hub, previously Elderdale Community Centre, at Yewdale Gardens.

The event has been organised by Bolton at Home’s East Neighbourhood Management Team and the Knit and Natter group.

Members of the public can buy handmade goods including jewellery, cards and gifts, and take part in craft workshops being offered throughout the day.

Lisa Forrest, community development officer for Bolton at Home, said: “We have so many talented artists here in Breightmet and the craft fair is a great way to showcase what they can do, while raising money for the community groups at the same time.

“We’ve recently taken over the centre and this is just one of the ways we’re hoping to breathe new life into it and encourage community spirit and involvement.”

The craft fair will take place on Saturday November 29, from 11am until 3pm. Entry is free of charge.
