A SUPERMARKET worker with a fear of heights is completing the ultimate challenge next month — a 12,000ft skydive.

Jezz Hill, who works at The Co-operative in Ainsworth, will carry out the daredevil feat to raise money for Urban Outreach.

He will travel to Tilstock Airfield in Shropshire on Saturday, December 13, to complete the tandem jump and is now asking for donations for the charity, which works with disadvantages and vulnerable people in Bolton.

Jezz, who is a Community Pioneer for the store in Ainsworth Lane, said he thought it was vital the shop support local causes.

He said: “I wanted to do something different that would be a challenge for me. So I decided that as I don’t have a head for heights, and I hate flying, that a sky-dive would be the perfect way to confront my fears whilst also raising much needed funds for such a worthwhile cause.

“The work of Urban Outreach is so valuable, and I am thrilled that I can help raise some funds which should benefit those people in the local community who need our support the most.”
