A NETBALL team captained by Bolton actress Katy Cavanagh was beaten in a charity match.
The ITV Text Santa fundraising event pitted Emmerdale captain Charley Webb's squad against the former Canon Slade School pupil's Coronation Street team at the Manchester Thunderdome.
The match culminated with Emmerdale avenging last year's loss with a 23-18 victory.
Emmerdale's victorious squad included Sammy Winward, also from Bolton, Michelle Hardwick, Eden Taylor-Draper, Amy Walsh and members of the Superleague's Yorkshire Jets.
Manchester Thunder players teamed up with Coronation Street's Brooke Vincent, Hayley Tamaddon, Tisha Merry and Jane Danson.
The event also included an auction to raise money for the ITV Text Santa charity campaign.
