BOLTON actress Maxine Peake teamed up with other famous faces to raise money for the upkeep of a library.
The former Westhoughton High School pupil was at the Working Class Movement Library event at Salford University with Sheila Hancock and ex-Smiths drummer Mike Joyce on Sunday.
The afternoon of prose, poetry and drama told the story of radicalism and revolution in the city where the Silk and Shameless star now lives.
The library need to raise an extra £86,000 each year to cope with an increasing numbers of visitors.
