TALENTED musicians will be working together to make a brass band 'super group' for a performance in St Peter's Church in Halliwell.
The award-winning Fodens Brass Band, from Sandbach, and one of the world's most famous colliery bands, Grimethorpe Brass Band, are working together with young new talent ready for the CreateBrass concert on Friday.
The performance will feature a beginners' band from St Bede's CofE Primary School and a collection of young local brass musicians and players.
The event, which starts at 7.30pm, will help raise money to purchase music stands for CreateBoltones. It is a new initiative attached to CreateBolton, due to launch in the new year, which aims to encourage young people who have an interest in music to learn to play an instrument.
Tickets for the event can be bought from Cafe Create for £3, or bought on the door on the night.
