A TOOLS heist has cost a 21-year-old thief more than £1,000 in costs.
Aaron Brierley stole £2,000 of tools from Mark Smalley in Bolton between July 5 and 7 this year.
He pleaded guilty at Bolton Magistrates' Court in October and was ordered to pay compensation of £867 and other costs of £125 at a sentencing hearing on November 21.
Brierley, of Tottington Road, Bury, will wear an electronic tag for the next 12 weeks.
He must also participate in a supervision programme as part of the community order.
