INTERFAITH Week was marked by Unity in the Community this week.
Staged at the 3D Centre in Bolton, people from different generations enjoyed an afternoon celebrating different religious festivals — Eid Diwali and Advent.
The festivities were led by local school children in the event organised by the Asian Elders Centre.
People from different faiths and communities and organisations including the police represented by the Police Commissioner Tony Lloyd watched the performances.
The Unity in the Community event, which is staged every year as part of the national week, is one of a number organised by Bolton Interfaith Council to build, peace, harmony, friendship and trust in the town to promote cohesion.
Yesterday (Friday, November 21) there was an Interfaith Shared Lunch at Emmanuel Church,
School pupils and elders from the community will enjoyed lunch together and learnt about other faiths.
