THERE is just one day left to try your hand in a bid to be named the town's fastest drummer.
Booths Music, Churchgate, has launched a competition based on how many strokes people can hit on a drum in 60 seconds.
Customers, students and tutors have all taken part and a leader board has been established.
Mid-week, the leaderboard top spot was held by James Aspinall, with 1163 beats per minute, and pupil Max Ainsworth, aged 16, held the number one position on the student board, with 1029BPM.
All drummers in the area are welcome to attempt their best score, which is measured by a STAGG Rhythm Trainer.
The person with the fastest score will be announced at 5pm tomorrow (SAT) and will win a brick of drum sticks, worth £60, and a Stagg Rhythm Trainer, worth £34.99.
There is a donation of 50p per attempt, which will be donated to the fund to create an outdoor performance space in Churchgate.
