A FEARLESS fundraiser from The Co-operative Food store in Ainsworth Lane, Bolton, has reached for the skies to raise £574 for local charity Urban Outreach.
Daredevil Jezz Hill leapt from the clouds to complete a tandem sky-dive from 12,000ft at Tilstock Airfield in Shropshire to raise funds for the cause.
All the money raised has been donated to Urban Outreach, a Bolton-based charity, established in 1990, which works with disadvantaged and vulnerable people in the town.
Mr Hill, a community pioneer at The Co-operative’s Ainsworth store, said: “It was an absolutely amazing experience, made even more special as it was all in aid of such a worthwhile cause. Before the jump I was scared of heights and flying but I’m glad I faced my fears and, surprisingly, I loved every minute of the sky-dive and I’d definitely do it again.
“As a community retailer, it is vital we support local causes.
"The work of Urban Outreach is so valuable, and I am thrilled that I was able to raise such a fantastic sum for the charity, which should benefit those people in the local community who need our support the most.”
