TRAFFIC is moving very slowly on the A666 St Peter’s Way again this morning.
The area is being affected by a lane closure at Raikes Lane while bridge maintenance work is being carried out.
Southbound traffic heading from Bolton to Manchester is affected between the A579 Bradford Street and the B6536 Raikes Lane.
There have been no major incidents yet this morning but there are some roadworks to be aware of.
• B5238 Station Road, Blackrod, is closed both ways due to roadworks between the A6 Blackrod By-Pass Road and Moss Lane while electrification work is carried out by Blackrod Station.
• One lane is closed on the A6 Salford Road, Bolton at Watergate Lane due to roadworks.
• On the A666 St Peter's Way, Bolton, there is still one lane closed due to bridge maintenance work both ways between B6536 Raikes Lane and B6536 Burnden Road.
• Grimeford Lane Blackrod is closed both ways due to roadworks at The Railway Bridge for the rail electrification work with a diversion via Railway Road in Adlington.
• There are temporary traffic lights on Mill Lane, Horwich, while resurfacing work is carried out at B6226 Church Street.
