TODAY'S look back at Bolton's past features on the Top o'th Brow area of town in 1974.

The, then Labour candidate for Bolton East (he later became an MP) was looking at housing in the area with Under Secretary of State for Housing, Mr Gerald Kaufman.

After looking at the houses in the area with David Young Mr Kaufman said he was "disgusted" by what he saw and was horrified that the local authority could have allowed the housing to get into such "a state of dereliction".

Of course, today, the area is a well kept estate and much has been done to improve things for the residents there.

Are you are resident on this estate and do you have memories to share with us of your time in Top o'th' Brow?

Do you recall getting involved in the fight to improve your homes and how have things changed on the estate?
