Band name: SILO

Members names, age and where they are from: Katarzyna Binek, aged 26, from Poland; Konrad Sulowski, aged 26, from Poland; Robert Collier, aged 17, from England, and Marcin Ochwat, aged 17, from Poland.

When and where did you form? We formed in June 2014 in Bolton.

What is your sound and who are your influences? We play a variety of rock sub genres. We've got loads of different influences however probably most important for us are:

Marcin — Slash, The Cranberries, John Frusciante

Rob — John Fred Young from Black Stone Cherry, Scott Philips from AlterBridge, Daniel Adair from Nickleback

Kasia— Lizzy Hale from Halestorm, Disturbed, The Rasmus

Konrad — Lindsey Stirling, Hans Zimmer, Muse

What is the biggest gig you have played to date? For us definitely the most important gig played to date was the Immoral vol2 in Balmoral. We had the opportunity to play there with great bands like Neurosync or our good friends The Evil Stepsisters. It was a great and unforgettable event.

If you are not already, is it your ambition to become professional? At the minute we're just doing what we love and we are doing that for fun, only Marcin is studying music technology at college — so he has no choice! We are hopping that one day we will be able to make a living from what we love.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years? In 10 years we would love to see ourselves gig around Europe but if it's not gonna work out that way, it'll be great to meet up in our practice room and jam along and enjoy it as much as we do right now.

Is there anything unusual or interesting about the band? Maybe it's nothing unusual but it's kind of interesting that our age and culture differences are not restricting us from doing what we do. We get along very well and we have good fun spending time together.
