1. Get down to the Alma Inn, Bradshawgate, for a night with classic rockers Black Whiskey. Fronted by former Xentrix and Hellfighter vocalist Simon Gordon, the four-piece band will be there on Saturday night.
2. Go behind the scenes and get involved in a Bolton radio station. Johnson Fold Community Radio will hold an open day between 1pm and 4pm on Saturday, in the area across from Monserrat Road.
3. Indulge yourself in all things chocolate this weekend. The eighth annual Ramsbottom Chocolate Festival is taking place on Saturday and Sunday with everything a chocoholic could want - 50 stalls offering a range of chocolate and chocolate-related products, from brownies and cakes to beers and wines.
4. Watch Noël Coward’s unashamedly flirtatious, frivolous and fashionable comedy of manners, Private Lives, during its opening weekend at the Octagon Theatre. Sparks fly when a divorced couple who - while honeymooning with their new spouses - discover they are staying in adjacent rooms at the same hotel.
5. Twist and Shout to the sounds of The Beatles at a Bolton town centre bar on Sunday. Just John & Paul will be at Downtown, Bradshawgate, from 4pm.
