YOUNGSTERS are being invited to march to the same beat to promote community cohesion.
Teenagers of different faiths, religions and races in Bolton are being sought to work on a drumming showcase.
The group of up to ten youngsters, aged 14 to 16, will complete a six-week workshop, sponsored by Embrace Art and Drama Project, working with Ethiopian drummer, Daniel Tz.
No previous experience is required and they will be given the chance to perform in front of the Mayor of Bolton later in the year.
Donald Gayle, of Respect Counselling, is helping to organise the project.
He said: "We want children from all backgrounds to work together. This is a pilot scheme and we hope to continue with it if it is a success."
The workshop will be held on Tuesdays between 7pm and 9pm, at The Unity Centre, Johnson Street, Bolton town centre. To audition contact Embrace on 07872 303496.
