PRIME Minister Tony Blair is holding up a recruitment firm as a shining example of a family friendly employer.
Linda Taylor Associates, which is based in Bolton with an office in Swinton, is being used as a case study on the Prime Minister's website as Mr Blair ponders Our Nation's Future during a series of lectures.
Staff from 10 Downing Street have also visited the company's Bolton office, in Bark Street East, to get views on how flexible working can benefit business.
Many of the permanent team benefit from part-time, job share and even term time-only working.
The company's MD works three days a week, the financial controller works flexibly, another director works for eight days a month and the arrival of three babies in two years means job-sharing is high on the agenda Mrs Taylor said: "We feel that our family-friendly measures add value to our business and make it easier to deliver our service.
"A happy team is more motivated and productive, therefore more profitable for the business."
Mrs Taylor set up the business 20 years ago and it now employs 14 full-time staff and has a turnover of £2 million per year.
