I am researching the Bretherton family and would like to contact anyone who has any information about my grandfather John Bretherton, who was a miner, born around 1898.
He lived on Bolton Road, Westhoughton, with his wife Mary Alice (Leach), and daughters Ethel and Margaret up to around 1932, when he moved to Denton.
His father was called James, and from my research I think he had siblings called Peter, Mary, Nathan, James and Isabella, but I may have got this wrong.
