FUNNYMAN Paddy McGuinness is set to be immortalised as a waxwork model at Madame Tussauds in Blackpool.

The Take Me Out host is often seen to be 'waxing lyrical' on the popular dating show — but will be seeing double when his model is unveiled next month.

The Bolton comedian has attended a sitting in which sculptors took detailed and intricate measurements to capture his likeness.

His doppelganger will be wearing a suit made by his tailor Chris Kerr with a white shirt, standing in a relaxed posture leaning on a podium in a bid to recreate his appearances on Take Me Out.

The creation of the model took four months, after the 20 strong team of sculptors, moulders, colourists and hair stylists took hundreds of measurements and photographers.

The model, which will join others of TV stars Keith Lemon, Alan Carr and Simon Cowell, cost £150,000 to make.

Paddy said: “It’s been an absolute honour to have a wax figure created and I can tell you now, they didn’t miss one measurement.

"The whole process has been a lot of fun and I’ve enjoyed every second of it.

"I can’t wait to see the finished figure and see what the kids make of it.”
