BOLTON's own love islander is due back on home turf tomorrow after what he has described as 'the best summer of his life'.

Love's young dreamer Joshua Ritchie came third in the ITV show after pairing up with friend Lauren Richardson after a string of steamy relationships.

The 21-year-old joiner, made quite an impact in the luxury villa which started with 12 singletons all ready to find their soulmates in the six-week programme.

But despite three relationships, the first with glamour model Jessica Hayes who he left for game player beauty Naomi Bell, and a fling with newcomer Poppy Farnan, Josh missed the love train and a chance of winning the £50,000 prize money.

Speaking on the final of the ITV show on Wednesday night Josh said: "Things didn't work out with me Jess and Naomi but I am glad to be back where I started with my big sister Lozza.

"Me and Lauren have a great bond — I found love in a friendship and this is the best experience I have had of my life.

"Lauren is like another big sister to me to be honest —we started off in here and it would have been weird to leave without her.

"Everyone has looked after me I have been like a little brother to everyone in the house."

Josh dumped Jess for love interest Naomi but said he doesn't regret the decision.

Josh said: "I don't regret 'pieing' Jess off for Naomi because I think you do everything for a reason.

"Obviously I was with Naomi for my than half my time in here so I did start to like the girl and stuff but then when she was playing me and Max off against each other I was 'like no.' I would be civil if I saw her on a night out."

Thanking everyone for their support while on the show Josh wrote on his twitter: "Thank you everyone for your support been so good.. Thank you for everyone that voted as well.. It has been the best summer of my life-thanks!"
