Ah, the 1990s - a time of Britpop and watching Friends, before Facebook and smartphones. 

In Bolton, it was all about the Water Place, Ritzy and meeting your mates outside McDonald's.

1. Met your mates outside McDonald's or on the town hall steps (and usually turned up when you said you would due to lack of mobile phones).

3. Bought a pair of trainers from JD Sports (probably Reebok Classics) just so you could get a drawstring carrier bag.

4.  Friday nights were spent at the Lads and Girls Club youth club in Bark Street. 

5. Went to the under 18s night at Temple on a Friday, pictured - after its heyday - below.

6. Thought it was perfectly normal to stand in your cossie in full view of everyone on the steps to the slide at the Water Place.

24. Dared your pals to go in Softy’s Hard Stuff.

25. You wanted to get a tattoo at Stef’s.

26. Saw Craig David, Mel C and Louise perform at Radio 1’s One Big Sunday at Moss Bank Park.

44. Dined at King Burger on the square (yep, that's right, not Burger King). 

45. Acquired a slice of the pitch from Burnden Park when Bolton Wanderers moved to the Reebok Stadium.
