A FOURTH man has been charged following the death of stab victim Keith Platt.
Gary Longworth, aged 20, of Stewart Avenue, Farnworth, has been charged with violent disorder and two counts of assault. He will appear before Bolton Magistrates Court on Friday.
Mr Platt was found with stab wounds by police patrolling Church Road in Farnworth, at about 11.15pm on Friday, March 16, 2007. The 30-year-old from Grosvenor Street, Kearsley, was taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Three other men have also been charged following Mr Platt's death.
Richard Knott, aged 19, of Masefield Drive, New Bury, has been charged with murder. Daniel Walmsley, aged 20, of Buckley Lane, Farnworth, is charged with violent disorder and two counts of assault. Bradley Ainsworth, aged 20, of Masefield Drive, Farnworth, has also been charged with violent disorder and assault.
Three other men, aged 18, 19 and 21, who were arrested on suspicion of murder, have been bailed pending further inquiries.
