A MAN is being quizzed by anti-terror police after two suspicious packages containing dangerous chemicals were sent to a journalist and a councillor.
The 42-year-old man was arrested at a house in Robert Street, Tyldesley, on Monday night and a search of the property is continuing.
A Glasgow journalist and a councillor from Blackburn each received parcels in the last month.
In each parcel was a letter and a miniature spirit bottle which contained a liquid with a high concentration of caustic soda.
One of the letters was signed SNLA. Previously there has been a group called the Scottish National Liberation Army.
The man was arrested on suspicion of offences under the Terrorism Act.
