IT seems that drivers are reluctant to stop using their mobile phones even though the new law allows police to dock three points from their licences.

Since the mobile phones became society's must-have accessory people seemingly cannot put them down - even while they are driving.

They are risking other people's lives by operating them while at the wheel. If they are that desperate to keep in touch they should install hands-free equipment and save themselves being saddled with fixed penalty notices and endorsed licences - or even worse, being involved in a fatal accident.
