BURN the Mona Lisa singer Nick Miller has revealed his most embarrassing on-stage moment.
The singer remembers throwing himself off the sound rig at the band's debut gig - only to knock out all the power.
Hopefully next Saturday's gig at the Soundhouse will be incident-free - especially as the lineup means the band will have to be on top form.
They will be sharing the stage with Kill Kenada, To The Bones, Islands Lost At Sea and Bookstore.
Nick is looking forward to the gig, but remembers that it could have all gone horribly wrong for the band.
"We got close to splitting up," he says. "And when we came back from that we decided that we were going to start afresh. Mark is an absolutely fantastic singer-songwriter but he was behind a drum kit, now we've got a dual vocals thing going on. We've been preparing a live set and we've been in the studio recording, too."
What caused the rift?
"I spat my dummy out over - what do you call it? - musical differences," says Nick. "But after living in Leeds for a while I decided to come back home and start it up again. We got Tom in on the drums and we decided to take a fresh approach and co-write a lot of the material."
Luckily, the rift was healed and the band have been in the recording studio putting the final touches to their album, expected this summer.
