WITH safety now secured - Bury are aiming to sign off a terrible season at Gigg Lane with a win, and avoid breaking -ya 50ear-old club record in the process.

The Shakers have reduced admission prices to £5 (£2 concessions) for the final game of the season against Mansfield, hoping to spur the side on for only their fifth triumph on home turf this term.

If Chris Casper's side do not take three points tomorrow, they set a new record low for home victories in a season, beating the previous best' of four, set way back in 1956/7.

And although the Bury boss admits he cannot wait to bring the curtain down on the season, he pledged the Shakers will be gunning for a win to give back something to their supporters.

"It will probably be an atmosphere of relief more than anything," said Casper. "We're not celebrating by a long stretch - we know it hasn't been good enough. But I'd like to think we can get a good crowd in so we can say thanks for standing by us when things have not gone well.

Bury look like giving youth team goal-getter Domaine Rouse his first full start against the Stags, with Dale Stephens and Nicky Adams also in line for a recall to the starting line-up.

And although the game would seem redundant in terms of importance at either end of the table, several players on show are still playing for their places in Casper's plans for next term.

Colin Woodthorpe, Andy Parrish and Tom Youngs were the trio introduced into the side in the final six games, according to their manager, to "stabilise things."

And with all three players out of contract in the summer, Casper was quick to acknowledge their influence.

"There was a time when things were looking a little worrying, with the run-in we had," Casper said.

"The changes we made towards the end of the season worked well, and each one of them has played a very important part."
