A prisoner snatched from a security van is wanted by detectives investigating the attempted murder of a police officer and an armed robbery.
Aaron Williams, above, was sprung from the vehicle by three men outside Salford Magistrates' Court and was heard to scream "Don't let them take me!".
Greater Manchester Police initially treated the incident on March 22, as a possible kidnapping but now believe it could have been an escape.
Humberside Police want to speak to Williams, aged 21, of Lower Broughton, Salford, in connection with a raid in Pocklington, East Yorkshire, on March 28.
Police also want to speak to Michael Martin, aged 21. A security guard was robbed while delivering money to the town's Market Place.
A £5,000 reward has been offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those involved.
