LEGENDARY Whites Boss Sam Allardyce swapped the dugout for a dartboard this evening as he took part in a darts contest in Bolton Town Centre.
The former Whites supremo was taking on his old pal, two time world professional darts champion Ted ‘the count’ Hankey as well as facing off against some lucky raffle winners at The Venue in Churchgate.
The event was held to help promote Big Sam’s new autobiography and back new betting platform MyClub Betting.
Sam, who is currently preparing his new club Sunderland for this weekend’s crucial derby with Newcastle, said it was great to be back in Bolton.
He said: “This venue here I have frequented many times in my early days, in fact Churchgate was one of the most popular places to come on a Saturday night and being back here is something I really like.
“I played a bit of darts years and years ago, I was lucky enough to play with the likes of Phil ‘the power’ Taylor and its great to be here with Ted tonight.”
