North West Counties League rivals, Ashton Athletic and Ashton Town clash in the final of the Atherton Charity Cup on Thursday.
The local derby will take place at Ashton Town's Edge Green Street ground, kick off 7.45pm and a bumper crowd is anticipated to support the event which raises funds for local charities.
The finalists have won through this 28-team end of season knock-out competition, which draws its teams from all levels of football throughout the Atherton, Leigh, Ashton, Bolton and Wigan areas. Town beat Atherton Colls, Colliers Vets, and Atherton Town before defeating Tyldesley United by 3-1 in the semi final.
Meanwhile, Athletic beat Hindley Town, Highfield, last year's winners Bolton Lads Club and then ran out comfortable 5-2 winners against Breightmet United in the semi-final at Atherton Collieries Ground.
The match will be officiated by referee Ronnie Drake, and his assistants Nigel D'Arcy and Dave Renshaw, with Frank Mort acting as fourth official.
