Drink driver banned
A DRINK-DRIVER has been banned for a year by Bolton magistrates. Simon Lenga, 28, of St Kilda Avenue, Kearsley, pleaded guilty and was fined £120 plus £255 in costs.
Failed to stop
A DRIVER who failed to stop after an accident has been fined £500 by magistrates.
Dean Spencer, aged 51, of Wayfaring, Westhoughton, admitted failing to stop and failing to report the accident at Slack Fold Lane, Bolton, on June 22 when he was driving a Ford Focus.
As well as the fine, eight points were added to his driving licence and he was ordered to pay £285 in costs and charges.
Sat nav thief
MAGISTRATES have jailed a thief for 16 weeks after he stole a sat nav.
John Pope, aged 27, of Wigan Road, Westhoughton, pleaded guilty to stealing the device, worth £100, on November 7 and possessing cannabis.
The offences put him in breach of a previous suspended sentence imposed for theft.
Pope was also ordered to pay a £180 criminal courts charge and £80 victim surcharge.
Toothbrush thief
A TOOTHBRUSH thief has been sentenced to a six week curfew by Bolton magistrates.
Darren Constantine, 33, of Duke Street, Bolton, pleaded guilty to taking the electric toothbrush, worth £70, from Morrisons supermarket on October 15.
He will be subject to a 7pm to 7am curfew, was ordered to have treatment for drug addiction for six months and must undertake 25 days of rehabilitation activity.
Constantine was also told he must pay £380 in costs and charges.
