DEVELOPMENT: Progress on the wedding venue which Amir Khan is having built.
WORK on Amir Khan's £5m luxury banqueting hall in Deane is progressing well.
The boxer is having the wedding venue, restaurant and conference hall built on a plot of wasteland in Washington Street.
The development, which Khan says will raise the profile of Bolton, is understood to have created more than 125 jobs.
The ex-IBF and WBA light welterweight champion says that along with the Gloves Gym he opened in 2008, it will give him interests to pursue when he retires.
The facility is expected to be completed by next summer.
