POLICE are appealing for a van driver to come forward after a cyclist was knocked off her bike in Rivington.

The 52-year-old woman came off her cycle at the bottom of Moor Road, near a car park entrance at Anglezarke.

She suffered a fractured collar bone but has no memory of what happened to her and how she came off her bicycle.

Officers are trying to trace a white Volkswagen Caravella van with black alloy wheels which was seen in the area around the time of the incident on Saturday at 2.55pm.

It is described as having a partial registration of '65' with stickers on the rear, one of which said ‘Martin’ in green letters.

Police Constable Glen Hilton said: “This van was seen in the area around the time of the incident and the driver could have some vital information that could assist us with our enquiries. If this was you or you know who this van might belong to, please get in touch with us.”
