So with all the glitz and glamour of showbiz this week, first The Brit Awards then The Oscars, it is soo hard to contain my excitement - as I sip my cocktail by the pool. I did say I couldn't contain myself and yes the sun is shining...Sorry!

We have a new Queen of Pop (sorry Madge), Adele ruled The Brit Awards 2016, taking home four trophies - she is on fire.

Kicking off her world tour this week she was sparkling in her floor length black and red gown, delighting fans as she performed hits Chasing Pavements, Rolling In The Deep, Hello and Someone Like You with no technical hitches, unlike at The Grammys earlier this month.

In true Adele 'say it as it sounds' style, she revealed how, as a working mother, she forgot to shave her legs!

With over 100 million records sold worldwide, I'm sure this faux pax can be forgiven ...

Although a surprising choice, I loved Lorde's tribute to the legendary icon, David Bowie. She, Drake and Rhianna really stole the evening, sad considering it is 'The Brit Awards' after all and these artists are not British.

The Oscars saw Britain come away with an amazing six oscars this year, including Best Documentary for the film Amy about the late legendary singer Amy Winehouse.

After first being nominated 25 years ago, Leonardo Di Caprio finally won his first Oscar for Best Actor in his role in The Revenant.

As the selfie surfaced of Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and One Direction's Liam Payne, the media have gone into frenzy - not about their romance, but their age gap.

She's 32, he's 22, well I for one hope they're happy, she's hardly been lucky in love.

David and I have the same age gap as Cheryl and Liam however when we got together no-one batted an eyelid, or fluttered a lash (aside from the odd jealous 'friend').

Perhaps because 'he's' the one who is older. It astounds me that in this so-called 'modern society', this is such a talking point! Good luck to them I say, and who knows they could go the distance... It could be true love!
