Bolton-born Lady Showbiz, aka Karen Walters, casts an eye over this week's celebrity news. An entrepreneur, she has worked in entertainment for more than 12 years and is also a presenter on Bolton FM, as well as patron to Bolton Hospice and on the board of Boot Out Breast Cancer

70 and still rocking! The Rolling Stones hit Cuba for the first time performing a FREE show for their Cuban fans.

Proving they’re not going to be sitting at home in a rocking chair anytime soon, the band blasted out 18 of their best-known songs during a two hour set including You Can't Always Get What You Want, Start Me Up, Gimme Shelter, Tonk Women and I Can't Get No Satisfaction.

Elsewhere Gwen Stefani secures her first number one in the US. The 46-year-old's third album, This Is What The Truth Feels Like, sold more than 80,000 units.

Now a member of the famous five - Gwen joins the elite club with Lauryn Hill, Beyonce, Janice Joplin and Stievie Nicks - as females who have all reached the top of the US charts in a band and as a solo artist.

After the 2015 breakdown of her 13 year marriage to British rocker, Gavin Rossdale, it would seem things are looking up.

I'm sure Mick Jagger and Jerry Hall question their 'marriage', especially as she recently married Rupert Mudoch.

These days marriage is viewed so differently, call me 'old fashioned', I remember when marriage was seen as two people uniting, 'in sickness and in health, til death do us part'.

I have to say a 'HUGE congratulations’, to a very special couple - Tony and Connie Naylor (my aunt & uncle) who are celebrating 50 years, their Golden Wedding Anniversary.

I'm sure like many of us they've had their ups and downs together, however in a generation where nothing seems to last, they didn’t think to throw it away. Congratulations, a medal is on its way - to both of you.
