A LOVE of music proved a big hit in Bolton this weekend for the second outing of a popular record fair.

Fans of all thing vinyl were scouring the table tops and black boxes to find a hidden gem at the Market Place Shopping Centre on Saturday.

Organised by Premier Record and CD Fairs, traders were selling and buying some of the biggest - and not so big - vinyl records around, including David Bowie, The Beatles and Led Zeppelin.

Among the browsers was 12-year-old Lee Dlugosz who dragged along his dad Keith for the day.

He said: "I'm looking for Lady Gaga and Kylie records. I like collecting things and when my dad got me a vinyl player for my birthday I started collecting records, I've got loads of them.

"It's great to own a record and be able to look at it rather than just listen to it."

Premier Fairs hosts numerous fairs across the country and is a venture by friends Bernard McMylor and Cliff Pemberton, from Glossop.

Following its first successful event in Bolton in February, and following a good turn out on Saturday, Mr Pemberton said they hope to host more fairs in the town before the end of the year.
