A CAR crashed into a house wall after colliding with a delivery van in Bromley Cross.
The car- a Range Rover Evoke- was driving down Darwen Road at around 12 o'clock when it crashed into a Global Express Parcels delivery van, which was pulling out of Guild Street.
Police, ambulance and an air ambulance were called to the scene.
The driver of the Range Rover, a 50-year-old male, was taken to Bolton Royal Hospital by road ambulance.
He is understood to have suffered a neck injury and was put on a stretcher and in a neck brace.
The delivery van driver, also a male, was breathalysed at the scene but blew zero.
He said he "couldn't remember the crash and only remembers pulling out of Guild Street".
He was checked over by paramedics but was not taken to hospital.
The owner of the house in which the car crashed into was not home at the time of the incident.
Both vehicles were taken away by accident and recovery.
The air ambulance, which landed on Turton High School's all weather pitch was not used.
Road closures into Darwen Road have now been lifted.
