A MURDER trial started today following the death of Carlton Alexander in Bolton.
Mr Alexander, aged 23, died after allegedly being stabbed during an incident in Brightmeadow Close, Breightmet, on December 13 last year.
Ross Ashcroft, aged 31, of no fixed address, and formerly of Leonard Street, Great Lever, was has been charged with murder and pleaded not guilty at an earlier hearing.
The trial was due to start yesterday at Manchester Crown Court, but was delayed due to legal argument.
A jury was expected to begin hearing evidence today in the trial which is listed to last for two weeks.
