A MOTORIST has been left shocked after spotting his car tyres being slashed on CCTV.
Sajeed Patel discovered the nearside tyres of his silver Nissan Micra had been punctured while it was parked on the road outside his Glenshee Drive home on the Ladybridge Estate.
The vandalism was caught on CCTV at just before 10.50pm on Sunday.
Mr Patel, who works as a paralegal, said: "A man came along with a dog quite casually and just stabbed the back tyre, stabbed the front tyre and off he went.
"He passed other cars and he purposefully came for my car."
Mr Patel had to get a lift to work the next day due to the deflated tyres and had to take time off to get them replaced.
He said he has heard of other cars in the area having their tyres slashed, but has no idea why anyone would choose to target him.
The 43-year-old said: "I'm just puzzled.
"I'm very sure it's someone local and I believe it's race related — I can't think of any other reason.
"I have a young family and my daughter is very sensitive and I've had to play the incident down otherwise she wouldn't sleep."
