A POTENTIALLY lethal batch of prescription medication has been lost after a bag fell off a mobility scooter.
An elderly man from Bolton was travelling in his motorised buggy on Monday when a black holdall slipped off and fell to the floor somewhere in Great Lever.
Inside was a pill organiser containing doses of the drugs.
Greater Manchester Police is urging the public not to take any of the medicines if they find them as they could lead to severe side effects or even death.
Inspector David Henthorne, of GMP's Bolton borough, said: "I would like to remind the public of the potentially lethal consequences if these drugs are taken by someone who has not been prescribed them by a GP or medical professional.
"If anyone finds the lost medication, I would ask them to contact police immediately on 101, quoting reference 1738 of 15/8/16.
"Alternatively, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111."
